As part of the National Arts Plan’s Culture and Education Biennial #2, entitled “E em vez do medo? (And instead of fear?)”, “Quem tem medo do medo? (Who’s afraid of fear?)” is presented in Odemira. The exhibition shows works by Mariana Dias Coutinho in collaboration with the school community Agrupamento de Escolas de Sabóia.

Filling the gallery space, a series of drawings and ceramic sculptures invite curiosity and laughter. Creatures that scare fear. That kill it with laughter. That make it dance away.

LINHATERRA shows the results of an artistic encounter between Ana Baleia and Maya Fernandes Kempe. Together, they explored possible intersections, symbioses, and dialogues between their respective working materials: textiles and clay. In an experimental and playful way, the artists mixed these almost antagonistic materials, which nevertheless share common characteristics of resistance and fragility.

A DANÇA DAS COISAS ENTRE SI (The Dance of Things Between Each Other) is a poetic manifesto on artistic creation with children, which looks at the creation and research developed within the scope of the Artistic Laboratory – an ongoing project in which an artist-educator provides space-time for encounters with children aged between 1 and 6 at the Tom da Terra Eco-School in Sesimbra.
