past >> forward by Jaap Simonis connects the past with the present. The artist creates new works on site. In a performative act, he cuts up old paintings and develops new compositions from the pieces. The exhibition oscillates between destruction and construction, celebrating the moment of artistic creation.
The audience is invited to create a joint work.
